Conductor wanted- Govan Gaelic choir
ARE YOU MUSICAL?
WOULD YOU LIKE A NEW CHALLENGE?
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF BECOMING A CHOIR CONDUCTOR?
WE HAVE JUST THE THING FOR YOU!
WE ARE A GAELIC CHOIR AND OUR CONDUCTOR IS RETIRING AT THE END OF THIS YEAR AFTER TEN YEARS WITH US.
You do not need to speak Gaelic but it would be an advantage. We have a Gaelic reader who helps the non Gaelic speakers understand what they’re singing about and make sure we all pronounce our words properly!
We don’t want much, just ask that you be musically trained and while not essential, experience of conducting a choir would be great.
We rehearse one night a week and compete in the Royal National Mod each year.
If you are at all interested or just want a bit more information please don't hesitate to contact our president Mairi MacKenzie on 01418862953
If you don’t fancy conducting but are interested in joining then we will be delighted to hear from you!
We are on facebook! Just search Coisir Ghaidhlig Baile Ghobhainn (Look! You're learning Gaelic already!)
